چکیده
The performances of lubricated systems widely used in natural, biological, and artificial settings are traditionally dictated by their load bearing capacities. Here we unveil that, exploiting a unique coupling between interfacial electro-mechanics, hydrodynamics substrate compliance, it is plausible to realize massive augmentation the capacities ofcompliant microfluidic channels. Our analysis demonstrates that interplay wettability charge modulation association with solution chemistry surface compliance results this remarkable phenomenon. These likely open up novel design paradigms augmenting miniaturized bio-mimetic units through realization symmetry breaking phenomenon triggered asymmetries electromechanical hydrodynamic transport over scales.

Deflection of a hyperbolic shear deformable microbeam under a concentrated load
Deflection analysis of a simply supported microbeam subjected to a concentrated load at the middle is investigated on the basis of a shear deformable beam theory and non-classical theory. Effects of shear deformation and small size are taken into consideration by hyperbolic shear deformable beam theory and modified strain gradient theory, respectively. The governing differential equations and c...
متن کاملElectrokinetically controlled DNA hybridization microfluidic chip enabling rapid target analysis.
Biosensors and more specifically biochips exploit the interactions between a target analyte and an immobilized biological recognition element to produce a measurable signal. Systems based on surface nucleic acid hybridization, such as microarrays, are particularly attractive due to the high degree of selectivity in the binding interactions. One of the drawbacks of this reaction is the relativel...
